2/1/15 AeroFest. This week on Veterans Radio we will be talking with Lt.Col Dave Glassman USMC Ret. Co-founder of the Mobile AeroFest. AeroFest is a festival celebrating our nation’s heroes: the injured military service members and Veterans who have made enormous sacrifices in the name of a grateful nation. GI Jobs magazine included Washtenaw Community College on its list of the most military friendly institutions 5 years in a row. One reason for that distinction is that the College allows military personnel who are called to active service the opportunity to return without penalty. 2/8/15 UAV MISSIONS & STRESSES. Join us as we talk to Col. Ronald W. Wilson about UAVs and the Cyber Mission of the 110th Attack Wing, and Dan Gettinger of the Center for the Study of the Drone at Bard College, N.Y.  We will explore the missions, training, staffing and stresses of those in this new field.

2/15/15 M-1 Abrams Battle Tank. 2/22/15 Operation Never Forgotten. Operation Never Forgotten (ONF) is a national 501(c)3 non-partisan volunteer organization that creates awareness campaigns for deployed troops, wounded veterans, fallen heroes and military families. Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are produced by ONF through outdoor billboards, airport signs, mall/food store monitors and TV/radio broadcast. ONF educates the public and military families about PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and TBI (traumatic brain injury)… “Invisible wounds.”

Join host Dale Throneberry and his guest John Kinzinger, co-founder of ONF, as we discuss their new program:
 A-Head of Healing workshops sponsored by ONF to restore the strength, honor, courage and pride that veterans have always had within themselves. Veterans and their families/friends attending these FREE ONF workshops learn about resiliency, coping tools and how to trust their journey.
