kevin hymel military historianKevin Hymel is an historian for the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He is also a Historian/Tour Guide for Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours and gives World War II tours on D-Day, the Band of Brothers and General George S. Patton’s battlefields. He has also been the Research Director for Sovereign Media which publishes WWII History and WWII History Quarterly Magazines, for which he continues to write articles.

He is a former historian for the U.S. Army’s Combat Studies Institute at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he wrote on the war in Afghanistan. He is the author of Patton’s Photographs and Patton, Legendary World War II Commander. He has appeared on the History Channel, the American Heroes Channel, the Fox News Channel, C-SPAN and Book-TV, speaking about General George S. Patton and military history.
